VISION & LEADERSHIP
Lou Downes started up Downes Swimming Pool Company in 1970 as a means to pay for his college education after serving as an Army lieutenant.
He earned his degree in 1974, and pools became his profession. With the help of his son Mike Downes, the company has expanded
to 90+ employees with a fleet of over 40+ trucks. With 45+ years of experience, Downes Pools is a trusted and respected name
in the area for pool and spa maintenance in Northshore and Lake Geneva , design, and construction. Mike Downes continues to drive the family business into the 21st century
with the same focus and attention to detail; it is largely built on style, quality, and reliable customer service, including pool and spa maintenance and repairs in Northshore and Lake Geneva.

Downes Swimming Pool Company built our pool in 1992 and have maintained it all but one year since that time (one year we tried another company that advertised a lower price, but that was a terrible experience). Downes opens our pool every year, does weekly maintenance, and closes the pool. They service any issues we have during the use of our pool – and are always responsive no matter if it is a simple issue or an urgent problem (such as a flood after a major rain storm). We would recommend them in the highest manner and have no reservations.
